the foundation is the most important
When doing a restoration, we recommend the vehicle be media blasted down to bare metal. This way you can see everything that needs to be repaired. The metal work stage is cutting out all the rusted old metal and replacing with new clean metal. We treat the back side of the new piece of metal as well as the cavity we are welding the patch or panel onto. We pull dents so the body work is very minimal. The metal process is probably the most tedious and expensive process on a vehicle. After the metal work is complete, we move to the body work stage. This is where your vehicle gets a skim coat of filler after we have repaired all the dents and patched or replaced all the rusted metal. We normally skim coat the entire car so we can get rid of all the factory waves and make sure the vehicle is straight.
